Just Catching Up

I read that in our year book, people were riding Mopeds to save on gas money LOL.

Still here in FWB, things have changed alot since ‘81 as I’m sure we have. Even though I haven’t sent my registration yet I will and look foward to seeing everyone. I spoke w/ John Burrow today and he will be there as well.

I can’t believe my daughter is a junior at CHS this year. Ouch, my back hurts.

If I can help anyone w/ anything here in town before you come don’t hesitate to call me. 850 259 6844 or drop me a note to InMySight@aol.com

Hello CHS blog,

I would love to be in touch with anyone from the old HS days. I plan on attending the reunion and look forward to seeing everyone there. Congrats to Rollo, Mitzi & the gang for a job well done! (Mitzi thanks for your kind words!)

I live in Los Angeles, moved here after graduating Florida State in 1985. I produce behind-the-scenes specials on movies, DVD extras and all kinds of film “bonus” materials. I’ve been doing this for a while and enjoy it. I get to go out on movie sets and interview stars - so there’s some glamour! Ha. Just got back from a dusty trip to Santa Fe on a new Coen Brothers film called No Country for Old Men and I interviewed Tommy Lee Jones. Grumpy old cuss. I perform some comedy, have done local theater and created some characters for comedy acts that I’ve done around LA and New York.

Let me hear from you! JHPrice@aol.com

Best, John Price
(NOT one of your Ten Most Spirited Indians even though I rode around on a giant drum!)

Just trying to decide if we are bringing the kids…I would need a great baby sitter if you have suggestions, let me know. We will be staying in the Sheraton. Have you heard from Pfeiffer aka Tracy now Tracy Brown? We have three kids: 12 Anna Lee, 9 Rachel and 5 David. We come every summer to FWB and can see why some of you settled there. It is still beautiful! I have my Indian band headress handy if you need it for the reunion.
Contact me via email lala@pdq.net or cell 713-705-0503!
Looking forward to seeing y’all!

Hey there Ladies & Gents! Joe Pat Langner here; My wife & I live in Dothan, Alabama now. I wasn’t able to come to the 20 yr Reunion due to being in the hospital. I am  however planning to attend this year’s 2006 Reunion!!!! I can’t wait to see everybody!!!! I talked to Les Fagan a couple of weeks ago and he said he was going to mail me something, but I haven’t got it yet….hmmmm? Anyway, Was reading the blog that Les, John Pope, and Lenny wrote about my Dad, “Coach Langner.” Dad passed away April 15, 2000 from heart failure. He had had a double bypass 2 yrs earlier and had kidney failure. He was going to dyalasis (sp?) 3 times a week. He lost so much weight, he didn’t even look like the Coach Langner we all knew and loved. I miss him so much.

If anyone would like to contact me, my email is… j_p_langner@yahoo.com. I would love to talk to all of you!

Hello to you as an alumni of the Choctawhatchee High School Class of 1981.  Yes, 25 Years have actually passed and our reunion is approaching at a very fast pace.
Tomorrow will start a new month.  July will begin and be gone before you know it.  We know that everyone has busy lives, but please take a moment to stop and send in your reunion paperwork and payment before any more time slips away.  We are required to begin firming things up with vendors and the entertainment for which deposits and payments must be made.  Please do us a favor and pay us so that we can pay them.
Send checks to:
Choctaw Class of 1981 Reunion Committee
P.O. Box 176
Ft. Walton Beach, FL  32549-0176
It is not easy being the one who has to bring up the business portion of the program, so please help us out by stepping up to the plate and committing to the weekend NOW.  It is very hard to make plans without FIRM commitments.  I can say that we have a healthy list of “Committed Indians” and I would like to thank those of you who have already stepped up for doing so early.  The weekend of September 29th and 30th 2006 is going to be one that we will ALWAYS REMEMBER!!!!!

1 Everyone, let’s give Dale Applegate a BIG Thank You for finding a new home for our blog! He has really worked hard on transferring all the posts over and incorporating new pages. You can even pay for the event from the blog! There is also an itinery and posts are catagorized. Really really cool!

If you are using the blog for the first time, you have to register. It is very simple, just pick a user name and insert your e-mail. A password will be mailed to you. When you want to post, you must log-in thereafter. But if you click the “remember me” button and you can skip that step!

Let’s try the new and improved blog out everyone …

THANK YOU DALE!!

Lorra

Concerns?( I have a go ahead from the weather man!)I have a couple sailboats…. Anyone interested in fishing trips, Golf, info on the Gulfarium?

One last subject….we are going to have an informal BBQ the weekend after the 4th of July. Everyone is welcome…Unfortunately, Chris and Lorra Chagares (who are hosting this website) cannot make the Reunion…SO….I thought it would be nice for those locals to come out and show a little appreciation for all they`ve done, and have like a mini-Reunion Warm-up. I can’t believe how fast things have come together - Hats off to the committee for everything they’re doing.

Leslie (Starkel CHS ‘82) and I are hoping to make it down. We’re trying to sort out our schedules.

We’ve been in Atlanta since we married 19 years ago. We have four wonderful children, Ian (16), Zach (15), Grace (10) and Casey (5) which has kept us busy to say the least. I’ve been with Coca-Cola for nearly 18 years - all good.

Hope to catch up with everyone in September.
Cheers,
Eric & Leslie Norden

ps - Kyle T - so sorry to hear about your daughter, I can only imagine how tough that must have been.
