Reunion

I missed the 10 year reunion and went to the 20th and vowed not to miss any, if at all possible, after that. It was really wonderful to see everyone and it made me a bit homesick. I live in Riverdale, NY (basically, NYC - I still pay Manhattan taxes!). If anyone is in the area, or if you remember me and would like to say hello, please email me. I would love to hear from my CHS friends.

The reunion committee is doing such a fantastic job. Les, Mitzi, Mark, Chris and Lorra - I hope I didn’t leave anyone out - thanks so much for all you are doing. The events scheduled sound great and I am especially looking forward to seeing what the pep rallies and games are like these days. I miss hearing the band on the field and feeling all the excitement in the stadium. I hope everyone is planning on attending those events, the tailgate party and, of course the traditional events too!

25 years - that sure went fast! I can remember one homecoming, before the game, the cheerleaders went to Perri’s Italian Restaurant as a pregame celebration/tradition and all former cheerleaders were invited to attend. I don’t know if that tradition still exists, I was never in town to participate. At any rate, we had at least 15 former cheerleaders there - and some were former cheerleaders from what I thought were MANY years ago - well, the point is, if I were to go to that event now - I’d be considered the OLD cheerleader. Ouch - that hurts! When I think back to that night, there probably weren’t even any cheerleaders in attendance who had graduated even as far out as 20 years ago. Just goes to show you to be careful what you consider old because one day . . . . if you’re lucky . . . you’ll be that age!

Oh well, we’re young in spirit, right????
Take care everyone and please feel free to email me - I’m eager to reconnect with the class of ‘81.

I have told many people how amazing our last 2 reunions were. The work that was put into them was apparent at every event. Things happen in everyday life that can be memorable or not so memorable, but I will always remember spending time getting reacquainted with old friends at the past 2 reunions. I would like to use this blog to share some of my most vivid memories of the past reunions and hope that others will join in the fun. One of the things that I will remember most is watching Kelly Brown and Judy Cook share a dance at the 20th reunion. It definately took me back to my high school days. They could work a dance floor back then and they could still work a dance floor 20 years later. One of my other brilliant memories was, John Price at the microphone. If you were there, you know what I am talking about. John has a gift for entertainment!!! I hope John will be joining us again. I also remember Saturday around the swimming pool. Watching the beautiful Libby Neale being a wonderful mother diligently watching all of her little ones. Hats of to all of the wonderful mothers from the Class of ‘81. But most of all, just getting together with everyone, adding more precious memories that can never be erased from a life that is all too short!!!!!!!

I ain`t scaird, I`ll start this thing off!!! I don`t know if you realize, but this 25th Reunion is going to be HUGE!!! We have a crew of classmates locked in a room searching out EACH and EVERY lost Indian…..Laugh? You think I`m kiddin`?~?~? Not to worry, there is a chiropractor lined up as soon as they are finished with the computers!!! I know that many have children in school and can not attend, so if you can`t make it, use this time to reconnect with old friends!!! Follow our progress and be with us in spirit! Better yet, send us a brief account of your Life w/ pictures and a way you would like friends to contact you! I`ll compile all this and have it for viewing during the Reunion!!!

See Ya Soon!!!!!

This is great venue for large groups to meet. It is located on the Island and has plenty of room.
