Cheryl Layne Archer, age 59, passed away peacefully in her home in Shalimar, FL on August 22, 2022. She was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on March 30, 1963 to Bill and Joyce Rogers. She was most well known for her love of scrapbooking, crafting, and baking. Cheryl accomplished a Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics from the University of Florida after completing her high school diploma from Choctawhatchee High School. God was an ever present part of Cheryl’s life. She was very involved and passionate about her religious life at Shalimar United Methodist Church, participating in Sunday School classes and Bible Study classes.

Cheryl was an amazing and caring daughter, sister, wife, daughter-in-law, mother, grandmother, and aunt. Cheryl is survived by her two parents, Bill and Joyce Rogers; her husband, Carl Archer; her mother-in-law, Ina Archer; her brother, Dr. Richard Rogers (Peggy); her children: Rachel Dutkiewicz (Erik), Timothy Boswell (Jennifer), Christina Soliday (Josh), Megan Archer (Stephen), and Blake Archer; her grandchildren: Dillan Dutkiewicz, Joseph Dutkiewicz, William Dutkiewicz, Riley Boswell, Reagan Boswell, Grayson Sanders, and blessed with two grandbabies on the way; nephews and niece: Stephen Saieed (Tracy), Kathryn Hooks, Jason Rogers (Allison); great nephew and niece: Colton and Emma Hooks.

The family will receive friends on Friday August 26, 2022 at Shalimar United Methodist Church in Shalimar, FL for visitation at 10am with a service to follow at 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for a donation to be made to Shalimar United Methodist Church.
