Anita Kim Abington-Montgomery, age 51, of Destin, Fla., died Nov. 18, at home with her family by her side.
Kim was born in Nebraska, and moved around a lot because her father was military. She was a resident of Destin, Fla. for 30+ years. She worked as a preschool teacher and was a blessing for many of the children who grew up in the Destin area. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Sally Abington.
Kim is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Dan M. Montgomery; sons, Brandon Whitley (Julie James) and Jacob Whitley; and stepson, James Morgan Whitley; brother, Michael Abington (Debbie); and sisters, Brenda Jackson (Mark) and Shari Kenner (Steven); and close family friend, Debbie Jackson.
The Celebration of Her Life will be held at 616 Fifth Street, Destin, FL 32541 on Dec. 6 starting at 4 p.m.
